Stash: Investing made easy App Reviews

Some of these reviews are absurd

When I first decided to start using Stash, I was hesitant due to the 3.5 star rating the app had earned. People slammed it for not doing this, or failing to do that, but I looked past the quibbles and decided to invest. Even though my stocks are sucking right now after the January down-surge, its no fault of Stash. I see so many ignorant people bashing Stash for ridiculous reasons. One reviewer didnt understand decimal placement and gave a lousy review because he thought Stash was going to take 25% of his account each year. Wow. Another review slammed Stash because they couldnt get their account validated. There are reasons they verify your identity (you know, like taxes and other legitimate concerns). Heres my advice as a normal, average dude with a smartphone: if you can throw $20+ a month at the app, youre ahead of everyone else. Dont let these whiners dissuade you from buying stocks that have been curated for us normal folks understanding. Most of the ETFs I purchase are through Vanguard, a highly respected mutual fund company thats 100% legit. If youre on the fence, give it a go. Youll be glad you didnt listen to the haters.

Dont believe the 1 stars! This app is awesome!

I purchased this app when the market was tanking about a month ago. I took 500 from my savings and invested all in blue chips. When it was available I put even more in Roll with Buffet. Im currently at a 5% gain on my investments. This is a fun app to have on the side of all other investments. Ive been skipping out on Starbucks all week, and that money goes to stash now. I skip going to the casino as well. When I feel the urge to go to the casino, I just put $300 into this app. Ice convinced 8 of my friends to try this, and they all really like it. Stop being the typical American in buying stupid sh*t, and instead take that money and invest in your retirement/future.

Stash

Excellent way to invest. No this isnt a paid for review. I honestly think its awesome. Thank you

Definitely not off to a good start! ...

Its unsettling enough to link bank accounts to an iPhone app, but when they cannot pull the application process together

Off to a really bad start!

Beginner stasher

Ive started this whole stashing on a whim Ive waited for the beta and now the prime time app is here! Ive been stashing since December of last year with this app and yes its a drag to find a bank but I specifically gotten a bank to use it beautifully with this app and yes you may or may not get the 10% as the market changes but this app is awesome nonetheless Ive been making small deposits for the long run and it really does help you learn how to manage your funds and if your using it in the long run then this is the app for you!!!!!! I appreciate the stash family for making something like this its a wonderful experience

Really happy

I love how easy it is to invest with Stash. Keep up the good work.

Fun and educational!

Once youre in its nutz. My ability to research stocks has gotten insane. The turn around for trade is quick and if you dont want to risk much you can play with $25 for a while will your comfortable.

Awesome

Awesome app. Just wish there was a more diversified set of things I could invest in. UX is really quite revolutionary. It makes investing make sense. Just needs to expand further. Yall should develop something to make Make options $5-able (Stash-able?). Id love to get in on some of that. Anyway, great work and hope theres a bright and growing future for all of us in this.

Debit card

Idk if there any legal reasons that doesnt aloud to accept debit but it should... I feel a little uneasy giving all my bank info

Great for saving money

Got started a couple days ago. Like how easy they made it. Plus its a great place to put some cash so I dont spend it.

Wont verify account

I have been trying to add my bank account for awhile now and the app constantly gives me an error message.

Still Uneasy

I have been using this app for awhile now and Im still not sure I trust them. I know I dont know much about how this works, but when I follow all the tickets of the things I invested in and they go up multiple days in a row but stash still says Im down seems a little fishy. I hope I am wrong about this, but until I feel more comfortable I wont be putting a lot of money in this app.

COOL GONNA TRY

THIS APP SEEMS PRETTY COOL SO IMA TRY IT OUT

Really happy with Stash

Super easy to get started and customer service was really helpful. So far so good.

Completely Amazing

For the financially savvy or less than savvy its an amazing app with you in mind. Its really helping me save in small increments over the long haul. Plenty of advice and great customer service. I knew next to nothing about funds and stocks but this makes it easy and fun. I now look forward to stashing my money instead of blowing it at Starbucks or other little frivolous spendings. Couldnt recommend this more especially for my fellow millennials.

Impulsive spender turned investor

First off, the negative reviews this app has received are ridiculous. Most of them are based off of the personal information you have to give, but youre opening an investment account so what do you expect? Ive lost patience for the friends of mine who wont give this app a chance because of their demeaning connotation associated with "app." This is the simplest way for a middle-waged millenial, such as myself, to start putting aside money for my future. I didnt have the initial capital to start off with a brokerage account. Being able to make small investments into well-diversified portfolios allows me to feel confident and excited about stashing. I now keep a very small amount of money in my savings account and put most into my stash account, along with additional deposits every paycheck. Ive gotten 5.05% return at this point, which is much better than any savings account Ive ever had. I do wish that the buying and selling happened more quickly but on the flip side, the delay on withdrawing funds almost forces me to keep my money in my stash account. Ive always been an impulsive spender so this has been a huge benefit for my saving habits. I highly recommend this to everyone! Especially to all my millenial homies who dont have anything put away or only have money in a savings account that is giving you minimal return. With enough time, youre sure to make money with stocks and now you can start investing as small as youd like.

Stash

Stash is excellent and their customer service is outstanding!!!

Great idea

I am loving the ease of investing in stock options for my future. I think it would be great if I could link my options to the stocks app on my iPhone to see what each individual stock is gaining or losing
